Riding School

Our Riding School has the use of the show facilities and operates throughout the year. Our main instructor, Annika, is a BHS Accredited Coach.

We cater for children from 4 years old to adults of any age, complete beginners to experienced riders wanting to keep their hand in. We offer individual and group lessons for all ages and abilities.

Our Instructors are also very happy to teach riders who bring their own ponies/horses.

Riders should wear weather-appropriate clothing, comfortable trousers that don't restrict motion and boots or shoes with a small heel (wellies, for example). If you don't have suitable footwear at home we have a limited selection of boots that can be borrowed. 

Riding hats can be borrowed at a charge of £1 per ride, with funds going towards restocking hats.

Hacking

We have the privilege of the Berkshire Downs and the Ridgeway on our doorstep, providing many varied routes of beauty and interest.

Our hacks go out for 1 hour, 1.5 hours and 2 hours (longer by arrangement).

1 hour hacks are walk and trot only. Riders must be able to walk and trot independently.

Longer hacks are more suited to intermediate and experienced riders. Cantering is available for suitably experienced riders subject to ground conditions.
